Leather is made from tanned hides. It is resistant to damage, although the softer the leather, the easier it may scratch. With time and wear, leather items will develop a unique patina. We select superior leather for its rich texture and lasting quality. 

To care for leather garments, it’s best to spot clean with a slightly damp cloth and buff using a specialist leather balm to condition the leather and keep it supple. To dry, hang out to ventilate between wears and avoid direct sunlight, which can be damaging.

To get the most out of leather and prolong its life, bags, wallets and footwear can be spot-cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Wooden shoe trees help retain the shape of shoes and reduce creasing that can occur naturally with wear. When travelling and storing, roll leather garments to avoid fold creases. 

Suede care is slightly different. Ensure the material is completely dry before cleaning, then brush away any superficial dirt using a slightly damp cloth or a suede brush. Follow the grain of the suede with a gentle amount of pressure. For tougher stains, seek a specialist suede-cleaner service. 

When not wearing, store suede away from direct sunlight and heat, such as radiators. For longer storage, shoes should be wrapped in tissue paper and kept in a shoebox or shoe bags. Handbags should be stowed away in dust bags in a cool, dry place.
