COS BUILDINGS
APGUJEONG-RO, SEOUL

Located on a boulevard just south of Seoul’s Han River, our store provides a moment of calm amid the metropolitan bustle of Cheongdam-dong.

The original exterior has been completely stripped back, revealing a clean design. A simple pitched roof remains intact, alluding to an archetypal ‘house’ shape.

Rectangular windows with deep sills framed in striking black metal punctuate the minimalist exterior. Grey basalt clads the clean-lined façade – a magmatic rock quarried in Hainan, China.

Inside, there is a focus on the understated. Gentle curves and sharp lines can be seen in ceilings, around corners and on the staircase. Natural materials, sleek fixtures and airy, pure white spaces complete this tranquil interior.
