Contrast shirt by COS.

01. THE CONTRAST SHIRT

It’s all in the details.

On first impressions you’ll notice many familiar features in COS’ new season shirt: a classic front-button fastening, narrow pointed collar, long cuffed sleeves and a single back yoke. But if you take a closer look, you’ll find there’s much more to be revealed…

First, there is a discreet stripe design along the back and sleeves. This is created by using contrasting panels made from 100% recycled polyester to set it apart from the rest of the shirt, which is made from 100% organic cotton. Though it’s contrasting in texture, it’s complementary in color. Each panel is a shade lighter to give the piece a subtle tonal appearance.

The discreet stripes aren’t the only defining details of this piece. It has intricate topstitching along the seams, iridescent buttons made from Mother of Pearl, and to finish? The signature COS horizontal buttonhole at the bottom of the placket.

Inspired by the versatility of classic workwear designs, it’s cut for an oversized fit with a structured feel – making it roomy enough to layer or light enough to wear on its own. With its versatile design, sleek shape and slightly subversive character, this shirt is set to become one of the most worn – and talked about – pieces in your wardrobe.

Knitted polo by COS.

02. THE KNITTED POLO

Relaxed, refined and forever reliable.

The knitted polo requires little introduction. For many years, it has been the unsung hero of COS’ collections and we have relished its reliability season after season. Now, it comes with a twist: the open collar. Inspired by traditional menswear styles, this detail immediately brings a more laid-back sensibility. In addition to this, it’s cut for a relaxed fit and features exaggerated details, such as a wide collar and chunky ribbed edges.

Though it may be relaxed in its shape, it is refined in its finish. It’s crafted from pure cotton that has been through a special mercerisation process. This gives it a slight sheen and lustrous quality for a more polished appearance.

Whether you choose timeless grey or fresh yellow, this polo is perfect for bringing a boost to your everyday style now, while remaining as reliable as ever for many years to come.

Oversized T-shirt by COS.

03. THE OVERSIZED T-SHIRT

Better than basic.

What would a series of COS icons be without a white T-shirt? This season, the focus is on shape and structure to satisfy the needs of your everyday wardrobe.

Made from pure cotton, this piece is crafted with comfort in mind. Cut for an oversized fit, it has a roomy shape that falls loosely on the body. And it doesn’t stop there. It’s designed with additional sportswear-inspired details, such as dropped shoulders and a ribbed crew neck, for an extra-comfortable look and feel.

Straight-leg jeans by COS.

04. THE STRAIGHT-LEG JEANS

A classic cut, made even better.

This season, COS have launched their most sustainably made men’s denim collection to date. Each piece in the collection is made from recycled pre- and post-consumer cotton. Plus, they have removed rivets from many designs to make them even easier to recycle if the times comes for you to part ways.

These straight-leg jeans form part of this new era. They’re crafted from recycled cotton, which is made by converting waste cotton fabrics into a new yarn – reducing the demand on the planet’s resources. Cut for a mid-rise fit that sits just below the waist, they sit neatly on the leg and taper gently towards the ankle. Designed with a classic 5-pocket shape, they come in four different washes to suit every denim style situation this season (and beyond).

Relaxed suit by COS.

05. THE RELAXED SUIT

The new uniform.

Usually with suiting, we think of sharp, structured silhouettes and designs that don’t stray far from the traditional two-piece. But this season, COS have introduced a new type of talking-point tailoring.

In their new suit of season, they’re taking a relaxed approach. The blazer has a completely unconstructed design, with no canvas lining, sleeve head roll or shoulder pads to give it an extra lightweight feel. Details are kept casual too, with a three-button fastening, flap pockets and single vent at the back.

The matching trousers follow in a similar suit. They’re cut to sit loose on the leg, tapering gently towards the ankle, and feature adjustable fastenings at the waist. They have a single flap pocket at the back to complement the casual feel of the blazer, while sleek press creases along the front sharpen the silhouette.

Though there’s fresh updates to the shape, fit and details, the usual hallmarks of COS tailoring can still be seen throughout. Designed in their atelier, it’s crafted from high-quality cotton jacquard fabric and finished with intricate stitching as a reminder that, though the change in season has called for a change in suiting, COS’ love of craftsmanship will always remain the same.
