Planet

We are exploring ways to reduce our impact through how we make and package our products and how we build our stores. We have introduced recycled materials in our stores and packaging, and we are supporting our garment manufacturers to increase the use of renewable energy.

Our goal as part of the H&M Group is to reduce our emissions* by 56%** by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2040.

OUR PROGRESS

We work closely with our suppliers to identify solutions in the manufacturing process in energy efficiency, renewable electricity and fuel alternatives.

Our process
From the materials used in our buildings to how we package our products, thinking beyond our collections is an important part of our work at COS.

COS BUILDINGS

Our new interior concept is designed to use a higher percentage of recycled materials compared to previous designs.

OUR PACKAGING

Our signature COS carrier bag has been designed for recycling and we have reduced the amount of plastic packaging you receive with each online order.

Shared responsibility
Better choices come from thinking beyond the finished piece. We know that to make our resources last longer, we have to look beyond ‘new’. That’s why we’ve introduced solutions to empower our community to make more informed choices when our pieces have left us.

THE COS PRODUCT CARE GUIDE

From caring for cashmere to looking after leather, here we share tips on how to make your pieces last as long as they were designed to.

CIRCULAR SOLUTIONS

From COS Resell to our Repurpose projects, see what we have introduced so far to extend the life of our products after they have left us.
